The impressive and minimalistic Amaze sunbed is a Danish design statement of simplicity, comfort and craftsmanship. It has functional and sculptural properties when placed against a modern house as a solitaire piece of furniture – used as a sunbed, a bench or even a large coffee table. A place to retreat, a place to unwind and relax in the garden, on the terrace or around the pool. The Amaze sunbed can also be used together with other members of the Amaze family or mixed with our other lounge and furniture lines including all our accessories such as the Divine footstool or On-the-move side tables – the options are almost unlimited.

The Amaze sunbed is manufactured in untreated, certified teak wood, which allows one to choose how to preserve the teak. The teak may be left untreated, in which case it will develop a beautiful grey patina over time and will only require a minimum of cleaning. Or the untreated teak can be oiled with a suitable teak oil. Depending on in which climate, it is to be used, oiling may be required a couple of times a year.

The Amaze Sunbed is designed by the Danish designers Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen.

Teak

Teak is a close-grained hardwood with a high natural oil content which gives the teak furniture a beautiful smooth surface. Teak furniture is hard-wearing and highly resistant to decay and almost immune to rain, frost, snow or sun. The furniture is supplied unthreaded and will develop a patina over time. If you wish to treat your teak furniture, we recommend using teak oil – be aware that this will make the wood darker!

Cane-line’s teak is supplied from WWF-GFTN members in Indonesia, whose teak originates from Perhutani. This means our teak comes from responsibly managed forests. Teak being a scarce resource, Cane-line aims to only use it for a selected number of products. These are designed in terms of durability and style to last a long time.

Fabrics are mould and mildew resistant, making for weather-proof furniture that can be left outside all year round.

Breathable materials allow air to pass through, eliminating trapped heat and creating comfortable furniture with the feel and look you would expect indoors.

QuickDry

System

The core of the cushion consists of QuickDryFoam. The structure ensures that the small amount of water that does penetrate, runs through quickly. With its built in memory feature, the foam remembers its original shape.

Low

Maintenance

With spaces under the open sky, low maintenance furniture is an asset value in itself. Very easy to clean just with water and ordinary household cleaners using a middle to hard brush.
